He was born July 9, 1940 to Hazel and Frank Dyer, Sr.
An army veteran, Bob retired from Willamette Industries and enjoyed traveling, fishing and playing cards. He was married on March 20, 1985 to Pat Kuster, who survives. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and American Legion Post 213.
Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Pat (Poehlein) Dyer of Tell City; children, Kathy Ambrose of Cannelton, Robert Dyer, Jr. of Tucson, AZ, Michael Dyer, Sr. of Louisville, KY; step children, Jennifer Adkins of Nashville, TN, Elaine Oberhausen of Newburgh, IN and Brian Kuster of Bowling Green, KY; a sister, Mary Brownie of OR; five grandchildren, Brandon Shelton, Chastity, Michael Jr., Kaileen and Bobby Dyer; step-grandchildren, Mina Oberhausen, Whitney, Zachary and Chris Adkins; seven great-grandchildren
Preceding him in death are his parents; a son, David Dyer and brother, Frank Dyer, Jr
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. CST, Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor J.T. Hills will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at Zoecher-Gillick Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and Saturday 9:00 A.M. until service time.
