Robert Huebschman Obituary

Robert R. Huebschman, 92, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

Born August 25, 1921, he was the son of Charles and Anna (Bauer) Huebschman. He married Emogene Wittman on March 28, 1948. Robert owned and managed a farm near New Boston, IN his entire adult life. He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a former volunteer of the New Boston Fire Dept.

Surviving is his wife Emogene Huebschman of New Boston; sons, Robert G (Linda) Huebschman of Eddyville, KY and Dennis (Pamela) Huebschman of Bradenton, FL; a brother, Clarence Huebschman of Troy; sisters, Leona Kleaving of St. Marks and Marcella Slack of Ft. Worth, TX; a grandson, Stephen Ray Huebschman of Hebron, KY; step granddaughter, Lisa Schnepp of Indianapolis; step great-grandson, Brady Vaughan.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Werner and Harry, Mildred Mulzer and Selma Lorenz; and a step granddaughter, Leslie Hulse.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM CST Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Pastor Michael Mueller will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00-7:00 PM and Wednesday at church from 10:00AM until service time.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial contributions be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society or Worship for Shut-in’s.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Oakwood Health Campus for the excellent care Robert received during his final days.
