Ronald D. Frey, 77, passed away in Evansville, Indiana on February 21, 2017 after complications from a recent surgery.
He was born June 28, 1939 to Claude and Thelma McCaslin Frey in Spencer County, Indiana.
Ron married Carol Cox Frey on January 20, 1962 and recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.
After serving in the United States Army he owned and operated Ron Frey Trucking. He worked at Consolidated Recycling, retired from Stewart Warner, and farmed in his retirement. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, and woodworking.
Surviving are his daughters, Lisa Gengelbach of Santa Claus, Indiana and Michelle Ingram (Scott) of Owensboro, Kentucky;
He was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Kyle Gengelbach (Kayla), Abbie Gengelbach (Keith Welch) Korie Gengelbach, Haley Ingram, and Beau Ingram; and 3 great-grandchildren, Gabe, Ella, and Owen.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol, his parents, and his brother, Earl Wayne Frey.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Monday, February 27 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial following in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 – 6 pm Sunday, February 26 and from 8:30 – Service time Monday.
