Ronald Pollard, 84, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Perry County Mmeorial Hospital.
He was born in Branchville, IN on January 30, 1929 to the late Elva Wheatley and Lincoln Pollard.
He worked for General Electric for 30 years, retiring in 1969. He was married to Athleen Jones on June 25, 1949. Ronnie was a member of Bass Fisherman’s Hall of Fame, Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving is his wife, Athleen Pollard of Tell City; sons, Alan Palmer and wife, Peggy of Grand Forks, ND and Regis Palmer and wife Llolanda of New Harmony, IN; sisters, Alice Fendley of Indianapolis and Mollie Miles of Tell City; grandchildren, Shannon (Mike) Reed, Regis (Becky) Palmer, Alison (Shawn) Beckner and Randy Palmer; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Beckner and Malliyah Reed.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Pollard and a sister, Lorene Miles.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. CST Monday, February 25, 2013 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Duane Price will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-7:00 P.M. and Monday 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral Home.
