Russell Arnold Obituary

Russell Arnold, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at University of Louisville Hospital.

He was born in Mariah Hill, IN on December 1, 1934 to the late Walter and Josephine Arnold.

Russell was a Army veteran. He was united in marriage on December 27, 1981 to Theresa Hagedorn. He retired as a brick mason for Arnold Masonry, and was a member of the American Legion Post 213 and St. Mark's Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, IU basketball, traveling, gardening, attending Mariah Hill Annual picnic's and spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife, Theresa Arnold of Tell City; children, Randy Arnold (Christy) of Celestine, IN, Ron Arnold (Michelle) of St. Petersburg, FL, Rose Arnold of Tell City; step-children, Patrick Hagedorn and Steve Hagedorn (Jackie), all of Tell City, Elaine Gould (Gordon) of Durant, IA and Darlene Fischer (Danny) of St. Meinrad, IN; brothers, Pat Arnold (Brenda) of Santa Claus, IN and Tom Arnold (Charlotte) of Tell City, IN; eight grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.

Proceeding him in death is a son, Richard Arnold and a brother, Roger Arnold.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM CDT on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at St. Mark Catholic Church. Father Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00-8:00PM and Saturday 8:30-9:15AM at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church Cemetery or the church cemetery.
