Sue Spencer Feix, 83, passed away March 16, 2017, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, Indiana.
She was born in Jackson, MS, on May 8, 1933, to the late Joseph L. and Louise (Becker) Spencer. Also preceding her in death was her husband, William T. Feix, in 1998, and a brother, Joseph L. Spencer, Jr.
A 1951 graduate of Tell City High School, Sue enjoyed the piano, bridge, music, and time in the sun. During her many years living in Valdosta, GA, she was active in a number of parish life activities at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Surviving are her children, Laura Feix (Jim Thompson) of Duluth, GA; Lisa Feix of Philadelphia, PA; William Spencer Feix of Albuquerque, NM; a sister, Mary S. Thomas (Robert) of Derby, IN; grandson, Ryan Baker, of Atlanta, GA; and granddaughter, Allison Gifford (Curt), of Atlanta, GA.
The family would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the staff of Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, as well as Heart to Heart Hospice, for their excellent medical care, friendship, and compassion.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, March 20 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Tell City, IN, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Tell City. A viewing will be held at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, Tell City, IN, on Sunday, March 19 from 1 to 5 pm and from 8:30 to 9:30 am on Monday.
