Virginia “Genny” Kieser, 72, passed away April 13, 2017, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City .
She was born May 4, 1944, to Jesse Dawson and Eloise (Young) Dawson.
Virginia was united in marriage to Edward Kieser in June 1, 1974, she enjoyed spending time with family, camping, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Edward Kieser of Tell City; step-mother Martha Dawson Hawesville; children, Mary Lee (Rick) Claise of Gatchel; Marsha (Grub) Taylor of Tell City; Skipper Kieser of Tell City; Rose Williams of Tell City; Anna (Paul) Neyenhaus of Bristow; Mary (companion Ronnie Peter) Tindle of Hawesville; Kenny (Susie) Kieser of Derby; siblings, Ernie Dawson of Hawesville; Chester Dawson of Troy; Shirley King of Derby; Geraldine Cronin of Tell City; Connie Mattingly of Franklin KY; Mary Lou McFall of Tell City; and Jesse Dawson of Hawesville; daughter in law, Margie Sommer of Tell City; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a son Charles (Billy) Sommer; 2 sisters, Tweet Wilkerson and Wanda Horsley; step father, Lester King.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial in Log Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 and from noon to funeral service Tuesday, April 18 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
