Walter W. Graves, 95, passed away at his residence in Tell City on June 12, 2017.
He was born on October 9, 1921 to Edward and Marie Roeling Graves in Perry County, Indiana. He was married to Mildred (Toots) Marchal Graves on July 10, 1949.
He served in the US Navy during World War II and retired from Citizens National Bank in 1987 after 38 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 213, the Moose, the Hoosier Heights Country Club, and served on various Board of Directors in Tell City. He enjoyed playing Euchre, golfing, fishing, and working in his garden.
Walter is survived by his wife, Toots; his son, Michael Graves (Mary) of Louisville, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Paul Graves and Laura Veldman (Gord); and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings, Verna Johnson Hill and Norman Graves.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Evangelical United Church of Christ with burial following at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Friday, June 16 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
