Gertrud Brock

Gertrud Brock, 88, passed away Wednesday March 6, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

She was born in Brunel, Czechoslovakia, on March 14, 1935, the daughter of the late John and Anna Marie (Schumeier) Fruehauf.

Gertrud was united in marriage to Donald E. Brock on December 15, 1956, in Germany. They shared 65 years together before his passing in 2022.

She made a home with her husband as they traveled during his 20 years of service in the United States Army. Gertrud also worked at Minto's Market where her husband was the butcher and they owned the business for 3 years. Together they also went on to own and run Brock Processing for many years.

Gertrud is survived by her in-laws, Wayne (Brenda) Brock, Bonnie (Rusty) Herrmann, and Sharon (Paul) Kyle, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Brock and a sister, Anna Webber.

Per the family's request there will be no visitation. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
