Grover Cleveland Gray, 85, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, IN.
He was born on April 6, 1938, in Hawesville, KY, to Frederick and Elizabeth (Holmes) Gray.
Grover was united in marriage to Carolyn Rogier on December 27, 1958. He retired from National Southwire Aluminum Company (NSA) after many years of dedicated service. Grover was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church. He owned thoroughbred horses for over 30 years and enjoyed spending time on the back side of Ellis Park with other horse owners. Grover also enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Surviving are his sons, Rick (Kim) Gray and Jeff (Holly) Gray; sister, Sage Critcheloe; grandchildren, Morgan (Andy), Weston, Kyler, Landon, Beth (Logan); great-granddaughter, Addi.
In addition to his parents, Grover was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Gray; brothers, John, Frederick, Jim, Frank, Ernest, Jerry, Doris, Paul, Damon, and Bill Gray; and sisters, Catherine Volocko, and Hazel Hale.
Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Deacon Bo Beaty officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
