Linda L. Peter

Linda L. Peter, 82, of Tell City, IN, passed away on Tuesday April 23, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd, in New Albany, IN.

She was born July 6, 1941 in Tell City to the late Fred and Elizabeth (Wolf) Werner.

Linda was a 1959 graduate of Tell City High School. She was a homemaker and had worked at General Electric and later retired from Touch of Class. Linda was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Tell City. She enjoyed bingo, euchre and being with her family.

Surviving are her children, Brad (Kelly) Peter, Lori Hazelrigg, Bart (Holli) Peter, Jamie (Brad) Pruitt; siblings, Judy (Gary) Sandler, Betsy (Hal) Rhoads, Brenda Werner, Fred (Terry) Werner, June Wagner, Paul (Holly) Werner, Mary Haag, Larry (Chrystal) Werner, Gary Werner; grandchildren, Aaron Peter, Baylie Peter, Jalynn Pruitt, Devin Pruitt, Camryn Peter, Brittany, Bobbie, Michael, and Jessica and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by a great grandson, Cameron, her brother, Donald Shelby, and her sister, Carole Cross.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday April 27, 2024, at Evangelical United Church of Christ with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 1:30pm on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical United Church of Christ or Rivers Edge Animal Shelter.
