John P. Davis

John P. Davis, 55, died June 26, 2019.

Born June 11, 1964 in Tell City, he was the son of the late James and Irmina (Kuntz) Davis. Also preceding him in death was an older brother, Phil.

John attended college and became an electronics technician and later became an industrial electrician. He was a 22 – year employee of PreCoat Metals in Hawesville, Kentucky where he became great friends with many of his coworkers. John had a keen electrical and mechanical mind and when presented with a challenge in either, he could figure it out and get the job done. He enjoyed the river, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his very close loved ones.

Except for a brief stay in Cincinnati, Ohio where he worked for Pitney Bowes, he was a life-long resident of Troy where he raised three children, Frank (Ashley and Kiersten), Julie and Jackson. He is survived by a sister, Sue and 3 brothers, Steve, Joe, Bruce; and his dog, Shadow.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, June 29 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Troy, Indiana. Visitation will be from 9 am to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
