Selma Hagerdon, 94, passed away July 31, 2019 at Golden Living Center in Tell City, Indiana.
Born August 4, 1924, in Spencer County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Henry and Freida (Schultz) Mulzer.
In her early years, Selma was an inventory clerk and secretary/treasurer for Oscar Ewing, Inc., a dairy products company, in Louisville, Kentucky. She returned home and married Roy Hagerdon on October 4, 1958. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and playing Euchre.
Survivors include her children, Janalee May (Mike) of Ferdinand, Harold Hagerdon (Mary Jane) of Troy, and Darwin Hagerdon (Tonya) of Tell City; sister-in-law, Arlene Mulzer; 8 grandchildren, Kelsey, Logan, Craig, Carson, Jerrad, Julie, Jill, and Justin; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her parents; son, Billy; and siblings, William Mulzer, Cornelia Mulzer, Mildred Scheiber, Robert Mulzer; step-sister, Alma Mulzer, and infant step-brother, Rudolph Mulzer.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am CST Monday, August 5 at St. John's Lutheran Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Rodney Schmeltz will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 – 6 pm CST Sunday, August 4 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 9 am to service Monday at the Church.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church.
