William "Bill" Myler Owen

William “Bill” Owen, 70, passed away March 27, 2019 at his residence in Yulee, Florida.

Bill was born January 28, 1949, in Tell City the son of the late Myler and Alice McAdams Owen.

He retired in 1994 as a Chief Petty Officer after 25 years with the U.S. Navy. Bill was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed his grandchildren.

Survivors include, daughters, Kelli  Ann Fellows and Jennifer Poole  both of Jacksonville, FL; a son Jeffery Owen of Savannah, GA; 9 grandchildren, Jeffery Owen, Jr., Ethan Owen, Siera Randall, Troy Martin Owen, Gabreal Owen, Wm. Ashten “Skippy” Owen, Alexis Grace Fellows, Dakota Michael Fellows and Alison Renee Fellows “Boopsie” ; siblings, Jane Schroeder of Georgetown, TX, Mark Owen (Carla) of Tell City, IN, and Don Owen of Hillsboro, NC.

Preceding him in death are his parents and siblings, Terry Owen, Alan Owen, and Judy Birchler.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, April 3 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Fr. Sengole Thomas will officiate.  Visitation will be from 3 – 7 pm Tuesday, April 2 and from 8:30 – 9:30 am at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. A Knights of Columbus memorial service will be held at 6 pm Tuesday.
