Adam Christian Whitaker, 41, of Magnet, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Adam was born July 2, 1982, in Champaign, IL to Elizabeth (Vaughn) Whitaker and the late Martin V. Whitaker, of Magnet, IN.
Adam was a journeyman member of Local 20 Sheet Metal Workers out of Indianapolis since graduating high school. He enjoyed working with his hands, not only at work, but on many other projects and hobbies. Adam loved fishing, boating, being outdoors and in the woods. Whether cooking, working or fishing, Adam always enjoyed listening to music and was always happy to play the DJ any chance he could. He enjoyed being with friends, family, and doing for others - just like his father. He loved his family fiercely and was called home too soon.
He is survived by his fiancé Sara, daughters Kamilla and Shelby, mother, Elizabeth (Beth) Whitaker, grandchildren Emilee and Elijah, his brother Eric (Melanie) Whitaker, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 3 great-nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
Adam was preceded in death by his father, Martin Whitaker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 2:00 p.m. CST, at his brother’s place, 16345 Ulysses Rd. Magnet, IN 47520.
