Arcene H. Foerster

Arcene Herman Foerster of New Boston, 86, passed away May 15, 2023.

He was born May 4, 1937, to the late Robert and Edith (Puertzer) Foerster in New Boston.

Arcene graduated from Troy High School in 1955. He married Ramona Sue Talbott on October 23, 1960. They enjoyed 60 years together until her passing on September 4, 2021. He was a lifelong farmer and worked for Emge Meat Packing Company out of Fort Branch for 43 years. His greatest enjoyments were farming and his family.

He is survived by his children, Darryl Foerster (Diana), Evanston, IN; Debra Sendelweck (Daniel), Portersville, IN; Angela Claiborne (Glenn), Lubbock, TX; Becky Boehm (Richard), Evanston, IN; 6 grandchildren, Molly Oliver (Jason), Nicole Lammers (Jordan), Lucas Sendelweck (Kaylyn), Amanda Downing (Jay), Lee Boehm, Heather Boehm (Michael Wilmes); 4 great-grandchildren, Lexi Lammers, Corbin Downing, Evangeline Oliver, and Colson Sendelweck; and a sister, Arlene Mulzer of Evanston, IN.

In addition to his parents Arcene was preceded in death by his wife Ramona; sisters, Imogene Sergesketter and Dorothy Foerster; and his grandson, Aaron Foerster.

Funeral Services will be at 10am CST Thursday, May 18, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Steve Shank will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 3pm to 7pm CST on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 9am to service time Thursday, May 18, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Boston Fire Department or St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
