Arlene A. Farrell

Arlene A. Farrell, 68, of Magnet, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare.

She was born on May 3, 1958, in Staten Island, New York, to the late Manuel and Alice (Rivera) Fernandez. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rose Lynn Fernandez.

Arlene grew up in New York, where she attended high school before going on to continue her education and earn her bachelor’s degree in accounting. A degree she used throughout most of her working life.

Arlene also had a passion for hairdressing and worked as a beautician for many years, enjoying the opportunity to meet and care for others through her work.

Arlene had a simple appreciation for the things she enjoyed. She loved watching movies and spending time with her cat, who was an important part of her life. She also cherished the time she spent with her family and those closest to her.

Arlene is survived by her companion, Dan Kichline of Magnet; her sons, Manuel (Jennifer) Fernandez of Blakelee, Pennsylvania, and Brian Farrell of Magnet, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Kevin, Kodi, Kamren, Francine, and Amber.

Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until time of service.
