Barbara E. Sturgeon

Barbara E. Sturgeon, 69, passed away February 8, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

Born January 19, 1951, in Grandview, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Jess and Mary Ruth Lawalin Weatherholt.

She was married to Waymond Sturgeon on August 15, 1986 who preceded her in death.

Barbara was a waitress for 20 years and retired from Hilger's Laundry.

She enjoyed baking, cross stitching and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include a son Jesse Sturgeon of Santa Claus, IN; 2 step daughters, Diana (Jerry) McRoberts of Anderson, IN, Tammy (Robert) Hill of Goldsboro, NC; brothers, Alfred Weatherholt of Troy, IN, Marvin Weatherholt of Dale, IN, Fred Weatherholt of Grandview, IN; a sister, Sheila (Morris) Bartlett of Santa Claus, IN and 6 step grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Owens, and 3 step brothers, Charles Weatherholt, Leroy Weatherholt and John Splater.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Tuesday February 11, 2020 , at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Masterson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville.

Visitation will be from 2 pm to 7pm Monday February 10, 2020 and from 9am to service time Tuesday.at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
