Bernard "Joe" Hartz

Bernard “Joe” Hartz, 69, passed away Saturday March 13, 2021 at his home in Tell City, IN.
 

He was born November 17, 1951in Tell City the son of the late James and Bernice Schultz Hartz

Joe was a loving husband of his wife, Deana and son Zachary. He enjoyed living life to the fullest.

He liked biking, boating and camping with his friends at Rocky Point. Joe was a graduate of Tell City High School and the University of Evansville. Along with his brother Jim, have owned and operated Braunie's in Tell City since 1974.

Surviving are his wife, Deana, a son, Zachary (Lana) Hartz of Tell City,IN; brothers, Jim (Jill) Hartz and Jon (Teri) Hartz both of Tell City, IN ; grandchildren, Collins and Klein and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 27 at Braunie's from 12 Noon to 2:00 pm.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorial donations may take the form of contributions to Tell City Athletics C/O Track and Field, Tell City High School, 900 12th Street, Tell City, IN 47586.
