Betty Brunner, 93, of Tell City, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born on May 24, 1932, the daughter of Claude and Vesta (Bryant) Oskins.
Betty was united in marriage to Carlos “Shorty” Brunner on January 7, 1961. They shared 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2015. She worked in the cafeteria at Tell City High School.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, playing euchre, shopping, Hershey Kisses, country music, and IU basketball.
Surviving are her daughters, Connie (Jon) Arnold of Rocky Point and Cindy (Don) Hawkins of Bloomington; grandchildren, Jessica (Brandon) Sauer, Ashley (Jason) Gwaltney, Adam (Ashley) Hawkins, and Emily (Christian) Warner; and great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Letty Gwaltney, Charlie Jo and Finley Sauer, Bo Warner, and Nolan Hawkins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Clark and Marguerite Oskins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. CST on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.
