Betty Griffin

Betty Lou Griffin, 76, of Tell City, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

She was born on May 6, 1948, the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Simpson) Talbott. Betty was a 1966 graduate of Chrisney High School. She was united in marriage on August 22, 1998, to Joe Pat Griffin. She retired after several years of service from MasterBrand. Betty's greatest enjoyment was the time she spent with her family.

Surviving is her husband of 26 years, Joe Pat Griffin of Tell City; her children, Larry Beard Jr. (Tammy) of Lewisport, Gwenn Sanders (JJ) of Cloverport, and Andy Beard (Heather) of Cloverport; stepchildren, Amanda Walker (Bryan) of Georgetown, KY, and Chris Griffin of Lexington, KY; and better known as her pride and joy, her granddaughter, Ella Grace and step grandchildren, Ben and Cate.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Beard; and her siblings, Ramona Foerster, Peggy Coville, and Noble Talbott.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 9, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00pm on Sunday September 8, 2024, and from 9:00am until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
