Bill Meunier

William “Bill” Meunier, 73, passed away peacefully at his home in Tell City, Indiana, on Sunday, March 8, 2026.

Born in Tell City on June 8, 1952, Bill was the son of the late Albert and Edna (Boehm) Meunier. He was a 1970 graduate of Chrisney High School.

Bill was known for his strong work ethic and skill with his hands. Over the years he became a talented fabricator and was known by many as “Bull.” He worked for Maxon, spent time working in the coal mining industry, and proudly served as a Boilermaker. Later in life, he continued the craft he loved fabricating at a local shop.

Outside of work, Bill found his greatest enjoyment in the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and golfing whenever he had the chance. A man of many talents, Bill, alongside his brothers Jim and Steve, could build, fix, or figure out just about anything together. He also enjoyed spending time tinkering on projects. Above all else, he treasured time with his family and especially loved being a Papaw.

Bill is survived by his children, Cindy (Dave) Seibert of Cannelton and Eric (Deb) Meunier of Tell City; his siblings, Carol (Eugene “Smokey”) Waninger of Santa Claus, Jim (Mary) Meunier of Evanston, Steve (Debbie) Meunier of Lamar, Mike (Laura) Meunier of Evanston, and Jane (John) Lasher of Corydon; his grandchildren, Devin (Sierra) Meunier, Samantha (Kyle) Boyer-Hanks, Gage Meunier, Avery Meunier, and Sarah (Malin) Webb; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his grandson, Elijah Meunier.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with burial to follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Tell City.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday, at the funeral home.
