Carlotta Sue Pate passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the University of Louisville Hospital.
She was born February 2, 1950, in Tell City, Indiana, the daughter of the late Robert T. and Marjorie (Young) Pate. In addition to her parents, Carlotta was also preceded in death by her siblings, Roberta Moore, Jessie Lee Pate, Marylyn Floyd, and Roger Pate, along with the father of her children, Albert Jones.
Carlotta enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and was a big fan of Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed art and poetry, but her greatest joy in life was being a grandma. She was proud of her faith and attended church regularly. Her daughters said she was the best mom and would do anything for anyone. She had a gift for making friends wherever she went and truly did not have a mean bone in her body.
Surviving are her daughters, Michelle (Cory) Innis of Morgantown, Indiana, and Tina Jones of Troy, Indiana; siblings, Karen Moore of Boonville, Robert Pate of Tell City, David Pate of Rockport, Edith Cronin of Tell City, Patricia Colan of Kentucky, and Patrick Pate of Evansville; grandchildren, Skyler Raymond Dale Wilson, Courtney Michelle Callon (James), and Maegan Dawn Innis; and her great-grandchildren, Amara Jade and Ivy Rain Wilson, and Valerie June Callon.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.
