Carole Sue Cross

Carole Sue Cross, 77, passed away April 22, 2021 at her daughter Candie's home.

She was born April 26, 1943 in Tell City the daughter of the late Fred J. and Elizabeth (Wolf) Werner. She was a 1961 graduate of Tell City High School, the owner of Werner Insurance Agency and a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ. She was married on February 26, 2002 to Bobby Cross who preceded her in death.

Carole enjoyed her family, the Game Show Channel, I.U.sports and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Candie (Paul) Kleemann of Tell City, IN, Joni (Bryan) Burton of Littleton, CO; siblings, Linda Peter of Tell City, Judy Sandler of Chesterfield, MO, Betsy Rhoades of Salisbury, NC, Brenda Werner of Bradenton, FL, Fred Werner of Grand Junction, CO, June Wagner of Versailles, IN, Paul Werner of Tell City, IN, Larry Werner of Indianapolis, IN, Mary H. Haag of Fairhope, AL, Gary Werner of Tell City, IN; grandchildren, Jared, Dylan, Justin, and Tucker Kleemann, Kendall, Carter, Peri and Sydney Burton; great grandchildren, Lola, Delaney and Oliver Kleemann.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Bill Kendall.

Visitation will be from Noon to 4:00pm Sunday and from 9:00am to 10:30 Monday at the funeral home.

Services will be at 11:00 am Monday, April 26, 2021 at Evangelical United Church of Christ with Rev. Jeff McCarn officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Special Olympics or EUCC Women's Guild Student Loan Fund.
