Caroline N. Ballman

Caroline Naomi Ballman, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Golden Living Center in Tell City, IN.

She was born in Tell City, Indiana on December 29, 1936 the daughter of the late Edwin T. and Sarah Chrystal (Pyle) Zoll. She married Paul H. Ballman on January 19, 1957 who preceded her in death on December 31, 1974.

Caroline was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, where she assisted in preparing the funeral meals for many years. She enjoyed home economics, art and drawing and loved to read.

She is survived by her children, Pamela (Kevin) Brinksneader, Linda (Billy) Lain, Paul W. (Sandy) Ballman, Richard Ballman, Chrystal E. Evans, Glenn E. Ballman all of Tell City, IN; siblings, Sylvia Harpenau of Sellersburg, IN, James Zoll of Lexington, KY, Martha Buchlien of Jasper, IN; 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Paul H. and her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Kenneth L. Evans, granddaughters, Erika S. Holmes, Kimberly Lynn DeWing, and siblings, Wilfred “Pete” Zoll, Edwin Zoll and Earl Zoll.

Services will be 10:00 am Saturday September 18, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Hollowell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday and from 8:30 am to 9:30 am Saturday at the funeral home.
