Charles Cronin, 68, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at his home in Rockport, surrounded by his family.
Charlie was born on February 1, 1956, in Cannelton, IN, son of the late Robert “Richie” and Doris (Freeman) Cronin.
He had worked for Schwab Safe and at Owensboro Community Technical College in maintenance. Charlie loved being with his family and grandkids. He was a member of the Amvets Post 75 out of Owensboro and enjoyed his guns and his dogs.
Charles is survived by his companion, Janet Wangler of Rockport; daughters, Christina Heckel (Kenny) and Dolly Smith (Rick); sons, Charlie Cronin and Bobby Cronin (Melissa); sister, Wanda Stark (Johnny); grandchildren, Kaylee Henderson, Kaden Edge, Khloe Edge, Korbin Edge, Levi Smith (Allyson), Rae-Lynn Smith, Emma-Lynn Smith, Julia Williams, Melanie Cronin, Abel Cronin, C.J. Cronin and Mason Cronin; and one great-grandchild, Brock Arnold.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Kieser.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 7:00pm at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Perry County Humane Society.
