Charles “Charlie” Widmer, 74, passed away, Monday, January 24, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.
He was born September 19, 1947 in Tell City, IN the son of the late Richard and Alma (Wolf) Widmer.
He was a graduate of Indiana University earning his bachelors degree in business. Charlie was a Vietnam War veteran in the US Army and retired as an Electrician from Chrysler in Kokomo, Indiana.
Charlie enjoyed traveling, animals, politics and the companionship of his dog-sidekick Boo.
Survivors include his son, Ryan (Nicole) Widmer of Monticello, IN; brothers, Allen (Bernadine) Widmer of Tell City, IN, Earl (Sojna) Widmer of Carmel, IN; sister, Charlene Bolin of Cannelton, IN; nieces and nephews, Diane Pfeiffer, Greg Widmer, Shelly Widmer, Brian Bolin and Brooke Killey; former spouses, Judy Widmer (mother of Ryan) and Teresa Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, niece, Rachel Bolin, brother-in law, Russell Bolin and former spouse, Christy Lineberry.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
