Charles Allen "C.A." Gratzer

Charles Allen “C.A.” Gratzer, 69, passed away Tuesday June 14, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY.

Born April 28, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of the late Robert and Juanita (Sandage) Gratzer.

C.A. spent most of his working career in law enforcement and was the Santa Claus town marshall. He also worked at Schwab Safe in cannelton where he retired. He was also a past member of the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dog companion, Angel

Survivors include his daughter; Tasha Gratzer, Aurora, IN; grandchildren, Dylon (Ravyn) Vincent, Chelsey (Andrew) Conner, Trey (Aubrey) Matheis and Alexis Turner; great-grandchildren, Olivia Thiery, Malcom Thiery and Gwendylon Vincent; sister, Roxanne (Keith) Rust, Tell City, IN; great-nephew, Silas Zuelly.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Whitney Turner and his niece, Danielle Zuelly.

A Prayer will be held at 11:00am Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, June 17, 2022 and from 9:00am to 11:00am Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth/Coleman Pregnancy and Adoption Services or to St. Pius Catholic Church.
