Cletus Hubert Jr.

Cletus Hubert Jr., 59, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, in St. Meinrad, IN.

Born in Tell City, Indiana, on June 29, 1963, he was the son of the late Cletus Hubert Sr. and Leona (Hauser) Hubert. In high school Cletus ran cross country for 4 years and was a student manager for the basketball team. He was a 1981 Perry Central High School graduate. Cletus was active at St. Augustine Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked at the St. Meinrad Archabbey as a custodian for 41 years.

Survivors include his siblings, Paul J. (Pam) Hubert of Apalona, John M. Hubert of Jasper, and Mary Tanner of Evanston, and several nieces and nephews.

Cletus is preceded in death by his parents.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday October 5, 2022, at 9:00am CST at the St. Meinrad Archabbey Church. Presiding will be Archabbot Kurt Stasiak OSB and Homily by Fr Denis Robinson OSB.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 4, 2022, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 7:00pm CST, and on Wednesday October 5, 2022, from 8:00am until mass at the St. Meinrad Archabbey. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Church Cemetery in Leopold.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church.
