Curtis Lee Cronin, 84, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, in Tell City, Indiana. He was born on August 30, 1940, in Perry County, IN, son of the late Glenn and Moneta “Oma” (Covey) Cronin.
Curt was a 1958 Tell City High School graduate. He and Dorothy A. Seibert were united in marriage on February 2, 1959. They were married for 44 years before her passing in June of 2003. Curt was then united in marriage on July 20, 2013, to Mary Helen Snyder, and they shared 11 years before her passing in January of 2025. Curt joined of the United States Navy and after six years he joined the United States Air Force from where he retired. During his working career he was a Computer Analyst with the Alabama Department of Education from where he also retired.
He was a member of Tell City Masonic Lodge #623, Tell City Optimist Club, and American Legion Post 213. Curt enjoyed fishing, watching TV, especially NASCAR, and going out to eat with family and friends.
Survivors include his two sons, Danny L. of Prattville, AL, and Timothy M. (Pamela) Cronin of Inlet Beach, FL; sister, Jane Kessans of Tell City; brother, Mark Cronin (Sandy) of Tell City; five granddaughters, Leslie Ginther, Katie DeJesus, Emily Askinazi, Megan Cronin, and Bekki French; and two great grandchildren, William and Izzy.
In addition to his parents, and his first wife, Dorothy Cronin, Curt was preceded in death by his second wife, Mary Cronin; a daughter, Becky A. Moses; brother, Robert Cronin; sisters, Lois Froehlich Linda Terry; daughter-in-law, Vikki Cronin; and grand-son, Matt French.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 am with Larry Bryant officiating. Burial will take place in Lilly Dale Cemetery, Gatchel, IN.
Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, February 21, 2025, with a Masonic Service at 6:45pm, and on Saturday from 9:00am until service time at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
