Dallas Robert Keilman, 72, of Tell City, passed away on January 04, 2026, at his home.
He was born March 8, 1953, in Tell City, IN, the son of Elsby and Mildred (Simpson) Keilman. He was a 1971 graduate of Perry Central High School.
Dallas was united in marriage to Sharon F. Fruehwald on December 21, 1974. Together they shared 49 wonderful years of traveling, exploring, and enjoying life before her passing in 2024.
Over the years, Dallas worked for General Electric, Maxon Marine, and as a Boilermaker with Local #374. He later retired from the maintenance department of the Tell City–Troy Township School Corporation. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Tell City Masonic Lodge #623—where he served as Financial Secretary—and the Hawesville Masonic Lodge.
Dallas enjoyed watching NASCAR, visiting car museums, taking long drives, and traveling with his trusty atlas in hand, affectionately known as “Grampy’s road book.” He wore many hats throughout his life, but “Grampy” was the one he cherished most. Whether attending a band concert or helping run concessions, he was always deeply involved in his granddaughters’ activities and proud of every endeavor they pursued.
Dallas is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Kris) Walsh of Tell City; granddaughters Julia and Olivia Walsh; and his sister, Darlene Powers of Owensboro, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Sharon Keilman.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with a Masonic Service to be held at 6:30 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at First Baptist Church.
