Dalton Ransom, 27, of Tobinsport, passed away on Sunday July 14, 2024.
He was born in Evansville, IN, on May 1, 1997, to Gordy Ransom and Lisa (Brown) Fisher.
Dalton graduated from Perry Central High School in 2015. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. Dalton was a member of the Fight or Flite Dart League and the Southern Indiana Draft Horse and Mule Association. He enjoyed working on cars, playing pool, throwing darts, and going to car shows. He was always the life of the party and was rarely seen without a smile on his face. Dalton loved his daughter and their time spent together; she was his greatest accomplishment. He also loved his family and friends deeply along with his horses.
Surviving is his mother, Lisa (Jimmy) Fisher of Tell City; father, Gordy (Bertie) Ransom of English; his daughter, Delina Ransom; fiancé, Susan Keller; brother, Dane (Natalie) Ransom of Bristow; sister, Laryn Ransom (Dalton Rennie) of Tell City; step siblings, David, Amanda, Austin and Jessica; nephew, Deacon; niece, Anniston; and his grandmother, Millie Dauby; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless family members and friends that were like family.
Dalton was preceded in death by his siblings, Nathan Ransom and Grace Ransom; grandfathers, Larry Brown and Randy Dauby; and grandmother, Beatrice Martin.
Services will be at 7:00pm on Thursday July 18, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Visitation will from 2:00pm until service time on Thursday and from 8:00am to 9:00am on Friday July 19, 2024, followed by procession to Walker Cemetery in Branchville, IN.
Memorial contribution may be made to an Education Fund for his daughter Delina.
