Darlene Gail (Hook) Litherland

Darlene Gail Litherland, 60, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at her home in Tell City, IN.

Born in Tell City, on November 23, 1962, Darlene was the daughter of the late William Hook and Carrie (Edmonson) Hook, who survives her. She was united in marriage to Phil Litherland on June 11, 2011. They were blessed with 11 years together. Darlene enjoyed swimming, fishing, any and all water sports and going bargain shopping. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all of them especially her grandchildren and her furbaby Jax. She was known for her genuine kindness and was rarely seen without a smile on her face.

Darlene is survived by her mother, Carrie Hook of Tell City; husband, Phil Litherland of Tell City; her children, Bridget Lee (Larry) of Crystal Springs, MS, Memori Wilson, Corey (Jenifer) Litherland, and Trent Litherland, all of Tell City; her siblings, Teresa Seifert of Tell City, and Brenda Messer of New Albany; her 5 grandchildren, Gavin, Maddie, Tristan, Briar, and Aubree; nephew, Billy; and niece Natalie.

She is preceded in death by her father William Hook; brother Allen Hook; a nephew, Douglas; and a niece, Christine.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Pastor Dea Goad officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 3pm to 7pm and on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 9am until service time at the funeral home.
