Born in Evansville, IN on July 14, 1943, the daughter of the late Vernon and Millie (Moore) Peckinpaugh, the oldest of 5 siblings. Deanna was a member of the 4th Street Baptist Church in Cannelton. A native of Perry County, IN, she was united in marriage to Donald R. Clark on June 23, 1959, who preceded her in death on September 9, 2022.
They had 4 children, Timothy Clark who preceded her in death in 1964, and surviving her are Veronica Clark Mullis, Anna Clark Elder, and Kelly D. (Heather) Clark. Also surviving are her one grandson Brandon N. (Amy) Elder, and 2 great-grandchildren, Hailey C. Elder and Caden J. Elder, and her siblings, Cheryl (Bill) Edwards, Karen (Randy) Shano and Gary Walsh all of CA.
Deanna was a very beautiful, sweet, faithful, outgoing, caring, lovable, kindhearted, and generous person. She loved with her whole heart and had a funny side, she was especially known for her joke telling. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, and always had a good time with anyone she talked with. She was a great cook and was well known for her “famous” cheeseburgers that she fixed on Fridays. She loved to dance and always enjoyed listening to Don and Kelly play music. She was loved by so many people. She was a second mother to most of her children's friends and always opened her home to all of them. She was also a foster mother to 28 foster children over the years, some of which still kept in touch with her. She had several jobs, but her favorite was being a substitute teacher for the Tell City Jr.- Sr. High School. She will be greatly missed by so many people.
In addition to her parents, her husband and her oldest son, Deanna is preceded in death by her brother Bobby Peckinpaugh of CA, and 2 sons-in-law Larry W. Mullis and Jeffery Todd Elder.
