Donald “Don” R. Clark ,83, passed away Friday September 09, 2022, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

Born in Daviess County, KY on February 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Roy and Margaret Clark and the 4th youngest out of 13 siblings. He moved to Perry County in 1959 and was united in marriage to Deanna Kay (Peckinpaugh) Clark on June 23 who survives him. They had 4 children, Timothy Clark who preceded him in death in 1964, and surviving him are Veronica Clark Mullis, Anna Clark Elder, and Kelly D. (Heather) Clark. Also surviving him are his one grandson Brandon N. (Amy) Elder, and 2 great-grandchildren, Hailey C. Elder and Caden J. Elder, and his siblings Patricia Clark and Wanda Clark both from Vincennes, IN.

Don was a very quiet, reserved, soft spoken man but loved with his whole heart and yet had his funny side. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman and loved to go hunting with Brandon. He was a talented musician and passed that trait on to Kelly. He was a talented woodworking craftsman and could make anything. He loved to cook and bake and was known for passing down his recipes. He was called the animal whisperer. He loved all animals, and the animals loved him. He loved his family and adored his grandson and great-grand kids. Don and his wife fostered 28 children over the years. He was a handyman of all sorts and was always fixing something. He taught his family how to fish, shoot guns, and drive a stick shift. He was a very generous, loving and forgiving man. Don is retired from Best Chairs.

In addition to his parents and his oldest son he is preceded in death by 10 of his brothers and sisters, and 2 sons-in-law Larry W. Mullis and Jeffery Todd Elder.
