Donald Mann Obituary

Donald Mann, 85, of Tell City, IN, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.

 

He was born in Perry County, on May 12, 1939, to the late Carlie and Martha (Hardesty) Mann.

 

Don was a 1959 graduate of Tell City High School. He was united in marriage to Becky Ball on July 25, 1959. Don enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying football, basketball, and baseball, along with hunting and fishing. In his younger years he and Becky took many adventures, traveling across the country. Together they shared many great memories throughout the years.

 

Surviving are his wife, Becky Mann; children, Jeff (Luella) Mann of Owensboro, KY, Theresa Roerk of Tell City, and Mary May of St. Meinrad; 9 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
 

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers, William Leroy Mann and wife Josie and Lawrence Mann and wife Ruth; sisters, Dorothy Mann Clark and husband Neil and Geraldine Mann Sumpter and husband Richard; and a son-in-law, James May.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 17, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
 

Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025, and from 10:00am to 10:30 on Monday at the funeral home.
 

Memorial contributions may be made to Rivers Edge Animal Shelter.
