Dorothy V. McCallister

Dorothy V. McCallister, 93, passed away February 24, 2021 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 7, 1928 at Troy, IN the daughter of the late Frank and Rosa Nicholason Swaney. She married Hollis McCallister on June 19, 1975 who preceded her in death on November 26, 2003. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, arts & crafts, bingo, her dog, Ohana and playing piano at the Tell City First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her step-children, Jim McCallister of Tell City, IN, John McCallister of Tell City, IN, Don McCallister of Bowling Green, KY, Danny McCallister of Evansville, IN, Annie Belosic of Tell City, IN Sharon Simmons of Tell City, IN; a brother, Donald M. Swaney of Tell City, IN; grandchildren, Sherry Daywalt, Billy Persinger, Lisa Pate, Crystal Shadrick; 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Gary McCallister, her brothers Robert and Doyle Swaney and a sister Ruth Loper,

Services will be at 1:00 pm Friday February 26, 2021 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral home with Bro Errol Wright officiating. Burial will be in Troy City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00am to to service time Friday at the funeral home.
