Duane "Elmo" Faulkenberg

Duane “Elmo” Faulkenberg, 67, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
 

He was born on February 22, 1958, to the late Wayne Faulkenberg and Bonnie (Robbins) Faulkenberg. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Vance Lee Faulkenberg.
 

Elmo graduated from Tell City High School in 1976. Over the years, he worked as a truck driver for several companies, including Zeke Ransom Excavating, before eventually retiring. He took pride in his work and the many miles he traveled throughout his career. In his free time, Elmo enjoyed going to auctions and indulging in a bit of wheeling and dealing.

He is survived by his children, John (Ali) Faulkenberg of Newburgh and Jennifer (Joey) Stewart of Tell City and a brother, Richard J. Faulkenberg.
 

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:00am at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, December 11, 2025, and from 9:00am until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
