Dunward A. Howe, 70, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health Systems.
He was born in Troy on July 8, 1942 to the late Dunward R. and Hazel (VanHoosier) Howe. An army veteran, Dunward had worked for Maxon Marine and retired from Styline Furniture. He was married to Peggy Masterson on November 28, 1964. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, working in his workshop, fishing and hunting, watching football and IU basketball.
Surviving is his wife, Peggy Howe of Tell City; children, Tim Howe and wife, Lynn and Jill Little and husband, Jeremy, all of Tell City; brothers, Wayne Howe of Tell City and Billy Howe of Owensboro; sisters, Mary Kellems of Troy, Donna Gogel of St. Meinrad, Georgia Smith of Chrisney and Brenda Jacob of Tell City; grandchildren, Ashley Howe, Bailey and Zack Little.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor Andy Payton will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Troy. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00-8:00 P.M. and Saturday 8:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
