Edna Schwindel Obituary

Edna Nelda Schwindel, 90, passed away March 5, 2021 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY.

Born September 1, 1930 in Spencer County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Bertha (Purtzer) Hessig. She was united in marriage to Carl Schwindel on September 28, 1975 and was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and enjoyed, gardening, mowing grass, dancing, fishing, quilting and her dog, Tippy..

Survivors include her husband, Carl, sons, Dennis (Mo) Lambeck of St. Meinrad, IN , Richard (Angela) Lambeck of Tell City IN; stepchildren, Debra (Mike) Scherer of New Boston, IN, Carlene (Dan) Tyring of Washington, IN, Mary Walls of Etowah, TN, Karen (Larry) Beier of St. Meinrad, IN, Mike Schwindel, of Evanston, IN, Carl Schwindel, Jr. of Etowah, TN, Pat (BJ) Stallman of Evanston, IN; 34 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Arlie Lambeck on January 4, 1973, a daughter and son-in law, Carol and Bill Egloff , her sisters, Ruby Nixon and Elsie VanWinkle and 2 grandchildren..

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 8, 2021 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial in Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery. Rev. Chip Jahn will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10:00am to service time Monday at the funeral home .

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ.
