Edward Marchand

Edward W. "Ed" Marchand, 85, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at his son's home in Hawesville, KY.

He was born November 18,1929 in Tell City to the late Charles and Clara (Ludwig) Marchand. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Mary (Ford) Marchand; sons, Wayne and Terry Marchand; sisters, Mary Moore and Charlotte Bayes; brothers, Ralph, Francis, Charles, Matthew and Joseph Marchand.

Ed was a retired Boilermaker and Army veteran. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 213 and VFW Post 2939. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing poker, going to the boat and fishing.

Surviving is his daughter, Patty Marchand of Tell City and son, Ronnie (Anissa) Marchand; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM CST on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Sengole Thomas G. will officiate, along with Ronnie Marchand, Ed's son. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00-7:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00AM until service time.
