Evelyn (Simpson) Basinger

Evelyn Basinger, 94, passed away on Tuesday November 22, 2022, at Brickyard Healthcare in Tell City, IN.

Evelyn was born on October 17, 1928, in Tell City, IN, to the late Joseph and Nora (Miller) Simpson. She was united in marriage on May 3, 1952, to Charles E. Basinger.

Evelyn was a homemaker and loved to travel. She enjoyed reading medical books and as one of Jehovah's Witnesses she loved sharing Bible messages with others. She loved her family dearly and treasured the time she spent with them.

Surviving are her children, Brenda Basinger of Mt. Airy, NC, Shirley (Ryan) Pfaff of Maceo, KY, Pam (Johnny) Smith of Cannelton, Linda Basinger of Tell City, and Mike (Sherryll) Basinger of Boonville; grandchildren, Delwyn, Ron, Mike, Misty and Joe Whitefeather, Jeremy Smith, and Mikel and Benjamin Basinger; and several great-grandchildren.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 9715 Old State Rd 37 in Tell City, IN. You may also attend via Zoom. The ID is 840 6208 9891 with pass code 256140. Mask are requested by the family but are not required.
