Mona “Faye” Foertsch, 87, of Tell City, passed away on September 29, 2024, at Oakwood Health Campus.
Faye was born in Perry County on September 12, 1937, to the late Norman and Iliff (Rust) Huebschman. She married Gilbert W. Foertsch on April 12, 1958, they shared 63 wonderful years before his passing in 2021. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Women's Guild. Faye enjoyed bowling, her flower garden, traveling, especially her cruise ships adventures and bus trips and she loved her visits with her sisters across the country.
Surviving are sons, Jeffery Foertsch of Tell City, IN and David (Mary) Foertsch of Jasper, IN; siblings, Jack Huebschman of Cannelton, Sandra Webb of Knoxville, TN, Bonnie Gillikson of SC, Connie Larissa of San Antonio, TX, and Jennifer Schutzius of Newburgh; grandchildren, Ryen, Dustie, Kyle, Kaci; great grandchildren, Clara, Alexander, Ruby, Sawyer, Julia and Conner.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Foertsch.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday October 4, 2024, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Adam Sternquist officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday October 3, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 9:00am to service time on Friday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
