Mrs. Frances Bryant Emerson, 89, of Tell City was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who passed away peacefully with family surrounding her on Tuesday July 2, 2024. She was known to her family as “Mom”, “Mamaw”, “Memaw” and “Franny”.
Frances was known for her feisty personality, stubbornness, smile, and unwavering love for her family. She formerly worked for Fisher’s Shoe Company and Shoe Show. She enjoyed word search puzzles, adult coloring books, bingo, crocheting and spending time with her family.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie Olive and William Franklin Allen; 1st husband, Harry Bryant Sr., 2nd husband, Ralph Emerson, fiancé, Ralph Leitner; sisters, Gerry Hambleton and Margaret DeVoll; and brother, Billy Allen.
She is survived by her children, Harry “Junie” Bryant, Jr. (Kim), Nancy Lawson, Cindy Donovan (Bill) and Wally Bryant (Donna); grandchildren, Danny Bryant, Donnie Lawson (Beth), Stacia Cheeseman (Wayne), Amy Norris (Danny), Bill Donovan (Carrie), Mike Bryant, Nathan Donovan, Elizabeth Martin (Aiden) and Morty Bryant (Kendra); great-grandchildren, Hailey and Abbie Lawson, Jacob and Abby Cheeseman, Daniel, Cainlynn, Emalee and Audrie Norris, Collin and Willow Donovan, Max and Ali Donovan, Aaron Pruett, Leota Epstein, George and Ada Martin; brother, Albert Allen and several nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service to celebrate Frances's life will be held at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. CST on Wednesday July 10, 2024, with burial to follow in New Cliff Cemetery in Cannelton.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 9, 2024, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. CST and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, 920 10th Street, Tell City, IN.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude’s or EUCC.
