Fred Miles

Fred Miles, 74, passed away at his home on Monday, January 20, 2025.

He was born in Perry County, on December 8, 1950, to Wilfred and Mollie (Pollard) Miles.

Fred had worked as a Boilermaker with the local 374, and for Mulzer Crushed Stone. He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his children, Nicole (Gary) Wafford, Desiree (Lance) Lane, and Shawn Schaeffer; his siblings, Terry Miles, and Sherry (Mark) Kraus; and 4 grandchildren.
 

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Miles and a nephew, Tim Miles.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
 

Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025, and from 10:00am until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
 

Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Memorial Hospital or Rivers Edge Animal Shelter.
