George E. Rudolph, Sr.

George E. Rudolph, Sr., 89, passed away Thursday April 1, 2021at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in on December 1, 1931 in Tell City, IN, the son of the late George A. and Elizabeth (Hess) Rudolph. He married Vestina Flaherty February 26, 1953. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict. George was a mechanic with Mulzer Crushed Stone, enjoyed working on his farm and cookouts with his family.

He is survived by his children, Ed (Carolyn) Rudolph of Versailles, IN, Angela (Bruce) Baur, Jeff Rudolph, Keith ( Harvest) Rudolph, and Melena (Brian) Waninger all of Tell City, IN, Shelia Poole of Tell City, IN; a sister Anna Owen of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole, Alexis, Cameron, Chloe, Brittany; great-grandchildren, Allie, Emma, Austin, Brantley and a son in law, Ronnie Shearn.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Vestina, daughter, Debbie, a grandson, Josh and his siblings, Betty Werner and Ellie Barker.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary Cemetery with VFW military honors. 

Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Monday and from 8:30am to 9:30am time Tuesday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made Heart to Heart Hospice or Alzheimer's Association.
