George "Bud" Aders Obituary

George E. "Bud" Aders, 88, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at his home.

 

Born in Ranger, IN, on May 17, 1936, George was the son of the late George S. and Sarah Emma (Howe) Aders. He graduated from Bristow High School in 1954, and went on to serve our country by joining the United States Marines. On February 10, 1962, George was united in marriage to Nancy C. Shahan. They shared 53 wonderful years together before her passing in 2016.

 

Bud worked as a Boilermaker with the Local 374, and he was also a farmer. He was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 272 and a loyal 52-year member of the Branchville Masonic Lodge. Bud enjoyed tractors and gardening.
 

Surviving are his children, David Aders (Becky) of Bristow, Mark Aders (Kim) of Bristow, Charles Aders of St. Louis, Mike Aders (Shannon) of Panama City, FL, and Chris Aders of Tell City; sister, Pat Beard (Bill); 8 grandchildren, Nikki, Kyle, Brandon, Lexi, Matt, Nolan, Gavin and Akira; 5 great-grandchild, Hudson, Henry, Oliver, Emma, and Jack; and several nieces and nephews.
 

In addition to his parents, Bud is preceding him in death by his wife, Nancy Aders; a son, Gary Aders; granddaughter, Lindsay Aders; his siblings, Ginger Coonley, Dan Aders, Gordie Aders, Geneva Noone, Charles Aders, Betty Karpowicz, and Mary Clinger.
 

Funeral Services will be held at 11am CST on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bristow City Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Friday, September 6, from 2pm-7pm, with a Masonic Service at 7pm, and on Saturday from 9am-11am.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rivers Edge Animal Shelter.
