Gerald T. Aders

Gerald Thomas Aders, 81, passed away March 25, 2023, at his home. He was born on March 23, 1942, in Bristow, IN, the son of Lee Roy and Ollie (Holman) Aders. Gerald was united in marriage to Martha Little on September 20, 1969. He was a 1961 graduate of Bristow High School.

After high school Gerald joined the United States Army. He went on to work for Big Rivers Electric as a Coal Handler. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, collecting clocks, and most of all spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Martha Aders; his children, Alicia (Steve) Miller of Petersburg, IN, Sarah (Dave) Kluender of Lamar, IN, and Matthew (Hannah) Aders of Huntingburg, IN; his siblings, Eleanor Lasher of Evansville, Maurice (Barbara) Aders of Jasper, Judy (Don) Dial of Indianapolis, and Ida Kelley of Celestine; sister-in-law, Linda Aders of Bristow; grandchildren, Ryan Aders, Jaslyn Aders, Donovan Aders, Scarlett Aders, and Harrison Aders; and great-grandchild, Londyn Aders.

In addition to his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by his siblings, Russell Aders and his wife Beatrice, Ruth Werne and her husband Arthur, Bernard Aders and his wife Virginia, John Joe Aders, Kenny Aders, Joyce Murphy and her husband Marion, and Murl Aders; and brothers-in-law, Joseph Lasher and Ray Kelley.

Services will be at 12pm on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Adkins officiating.

Visitation will be from 9am to 12pm on Monday, April 10, 2023, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice, Central Baptist Church, or Community Christian Church.
