Gerald E. Cummins, 86, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at his home in Cannelton.
He was born November 28, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late Chester Cummins and Nannie (Ping) McClure. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Cummins.
Gerald was united in marriage to Tabea Nochasak on September 19, 1982. He worked for many years as a professional truck driver for various companies. Gerald was a devoted member of Safe Harbor Christian Fellowship in Pellville, Kentucky, where he enjoyed attending church.
He was a passionate fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and rarely missed watching a game on television. Gerald also enjoyed playing the game Aggravation and was known for playfully “aggravating” his family and friends.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 43 years, Tabea Cummins of Cannelton; his children, Beth (Rodney) Cummins of Lebanon, Leisa (Charlie) Stieneker of Texas, Gary (Kellie) Cummins of Jamestown, Melissa (Andrew) Stokely of Zionsville, Jennifer (Tom) Weber of Newburgh, and Stephanie (Keith) Barnett of Santa Claus. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Gerald’s name.
