Gilbert W. Foertsch

Gilbert W. Foertsch, 88, passed away August 21, 2021 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 24, 1933 to the late Oscar and Edna (Polster) Foertsch

in Spencer County. He married Mona Faye Huebschman on April 12, 1958.

Gilbert was retired after 42 years from Can Clay and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing.

Surviving is his wife, Mona, sons, Jeffery Foertsch of Tell City,IN and David (Mary) Foertsch of Jasper, IN; grandchildren, Ryen, Dustie, Kyle, Kaci; great grandchildren, Clara, Alexander, Ruby, Sawyer, Julia and Conner.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Oscar.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday August 26, 2021 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Nathan Rusert officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery with Military Honors.

Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home and from 9:00am to service time Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
